Planning for Music Video

My partner Kaitlyn and I are going to be filming a music video to "Secret" by the pierces. We will be filming in my house. We wanted to go for a more neutral color theme, and my house is filled with those colors. If anything unexpected that happens to my house, we will go to Kaitlyn's house. We will also be taking safety precautions. One of the props is a mallet which can be dangerous. Therefore, we will have a first aid kit on stand by, and the mallet will be untouched unless used for filming. We will always put the mallet away to ensure that nobody trips on it, or accidentally swings it around.

We will also have a variety of costumes. We wanted to go for an elegant neutral theme, so we're planning on wearing formal single colored dresses. We will each have 2-3 dresses that are in different colors. We will also be wearing heels and have fancy jewelry. This gives the audience the idea that the teen girls are on the wealthy side. The props that we are planning to include are a mallet, makeup, a glass cup, food dye, and an old fashion telephone. The makeup will be used to give the video more of a "girly" aesthetic at first, and the music video will slowly proceed to get more suspenseful. The glass cup will be for when the "poison" is added to the drink. This represents that the girls hate each other. The mallet also has similar reasoning as the glass cup and food dye. The old fashion telephone will be for the talking scene. In the music, there is a scene when the two girls are talking, so we will use a fake phone.

We will be filming over the weekend. Kaitlyn will come over to my house at 9:00. We will do our hair and makeup until 10:00. Then we will proceed to film the lipstick scene until 10:10. After this, we will film until 12:30. We will then take a quick lunch break until 1:15. We will then switch outfits and add more makeup to make ourselves look injured until 2:00. We will then film from 2:00 to 5:00. Then we will have another costume and makeup change until 5:30. And then film until 8:30. Our plans will most likely change, but this is the outline we plan to use.
